If your chart says you are a Manifestor, it does not mean you are better at manifesting, or that you are even good at it. It has nothing to do with that. So, what does it mean to be a Manifestor in Human Design, then?
Manifestors are born with a very strong sense of who they are and what they want. The get the ball rolling so others can join in. They are built to be spontaneous and to keep creating new things. They are initiators, they create movement. There is nothing for them to “figure out”. They just follow their natural urges to do things, allowing themselves to be seen doing them so they can inspire other people to join in. Manifestors are happiest when they are doing whatever they want. And, they seriously hate being told what to do. Their energy is big and intense because they are meant to have an impact on other people.
Their energy acts like a natural filtration system, sorting people into three buckets: the first group needs and wants this sort of energy and they seek it out. They want to follow and partake in whatever you are creating. The second group will get their feathers all ruffled by whatever you are doing because you are making them wake up and that is uncomfortable. And, the third group are people who have no reaction at all. These are not your people. They are not meant to go on this journey with you.
Manifestors do not self generate energy. They get bursts of energy from their urges to create something and then they need to rest. They are not meant to go, go, go consistently all day.
I don’t know a single Manifestor who is happy and comfortable being in the leadership roles they often find themselves in - unintentionally, of course. Manifestors don’t often seek out the spotlight. It finds them. The biggest challenge for Manifestors is bracing their bigness, which is very scary for them. People noticing them is the very thing that activates their purpose. That’s scary because they run the risk of not being liked or being criticized and Manifestors are very sensitive to criticism. The harshness they feel is what causes them to play small or hide. It causes them to doubt who they are. This is an illusion though. It is possible to create a life where they feel seen, appreciated and valued.
Our Strategy is how we make things happen in our lives. Following our strategy is how we create success in our lives. For Manifestors, the strategy is called Informing. When Manifestors align with their strategy, doors magically open. Manifestors are meant to go off and do whatever they want to do. Whatever seems exciting to them. They need to be aware though, that doing what they want will make people want to follow their train. It will magnetize people and opportunities to them, all they need to do is share what they are doing, working or thinking about. That’s it! What stops them from sharing what they are doing is a fear or resistance to criticism, judgment, questioning or scrutiny.
What Manifestors don’t often realize about themselves is that it is their energy that dictates how others will receive what they are sharing. If a Manifestor is totally accepting of their true nature, they don’t need anyone else’s assurance that what they are doing is ok and that’s what makes other people seem more accepting. It’s like the people who see a Manifestor doing what they are doing act as a mirror to the Manifestor. Any self doubt will be reflected in the receptivity of the people responding to them.
Mainfestors know they are in alignment with their Human Design when they feel peace and when they are not in alignment, they feel anger (Self/Not Self). When Manifestors are doing what they truly want to do and are accepting of that - then no one is bugging them or pressuring them. Manifestors don’t want to micromanage people or answer to anyone. They just want the freedom to do whatever they want and be left alone.
The challenge for a Manifestor is being in their power and not being under someone else’s power. It’s easier for a Manifestor to believe that someone else is limiting them in some way, or to blame someone else for their situation. However, until they give themselves permission to do things in the way they want to do them, they will always be angry at someone for something.
Authority is where the Human Design charts start to veer off and become unique to each person. Some authority types are specific to a certain energy type and some overlap. Manifestors can have an Emotional Authority, like all of the other energy types. I have gone over this one a couple times already so I don’t do it again. If you haven’t seen the posts for Generators or Projectors, you can go back and read those for more information about this Authority type.
The next Authority a Manifestor can have is the Splenic Authority or Instinctive Intuition. This is the oldest authority type and is ruled by our intuition ( our spleen). Our intuition does not follow the logic of the mind (or society). It often just doesn’t “make sense”. The intuitive hits these Manifestors (or Projectors) receive are not even filtered through the mind. They just land in our laps in complete and full messages. People with this authority need to trust their instincts and that may require them to relearn how to trust their instincts. They can do this by playing games with their intuition such as letting their intuition lead for the day. Asking questions like “what lane should I get into?'“ while driving or “where should I get coffee?” and following through on the answers they receive. This “game” will build up evidence they need to begin to trust their instincts again. Don’t over think. Just act on the decision that pops into your awareness.
Another Authority type a Manifestor can have is Ego Authority. What you want is your intuition. This is when you look at something and say “I want that”. Those are the signposts you are meant to follow. It isn’t up to your emotions or your mind. It is your desires. When it isn’t something you want, you feel no energy around it at all and have no interest. It’s very simple, except culture has taught us that wanting things is bad and having desires, and especially following them, is shameful. You can move forward with that feeling of wanting something and know that it is in alignment for you.
That’s it for Manifestors! If you are a Manifestor or you know one, I would love to hear your experiences.
