The next energy type we have are the Projectors. Projectors have the gift of seeing things in a way that others can’t. They are here to tweak and improve and make things more efficient in the unique ways only they are able to do. Whatever their niche or area of obsession is, that’s how they are meant to express their gift. Projectors have a bird’s eye view of everything happening around them. From that vantage point, they can see where they want to go and how to get there in a better and more efficient way.
Projectors don’t generate their own energy and often Projectors tire easily. This is by design. They are not lazy or weak. They are built differently than their Generator and Manifesting Generator friends and family. They have different energy needs.
They are valued for what they see rather than by they do (or accomplish). Success for Projectors comes from sharing their insight with the world. They have to first accept that their work looks different than the world tells us it should look. Their work is about seeing. The world will tell us our value comes from doing, doing, doing. But, that’s not true for Projectors. They are here to show, present, teach, consult and guide others toward a new and better way. No matter what their actual job title is. They are efficient and can get work done much faster than other people can. However, if they overwork themselves, they will always feel tired.
Their energy battery is smaller, but it is more efficient than others. They are built to spend most of their time observing, learning, refining and developing their genius. Life will require them to rest more often than we have been told is “normal”.
All Projectors are experts at understanding systems and how they could work better. They only need to share when there is a need for them to share. The trick though, is in getting people to listen to them. Projectors should only share their gifts with people who want to receive them! When someone doesn’t have any interest in what they have to share, anything they say will just bounce off their energy instead of sinking in. If they feel like people aren’t listening to them – its because we aren’t. When people are not receptive to what Projectors have to offer and they push their insights onto others, Projectors will be left resentful and bitter. It will also make other people feel like they are pushy or aggressive. They will hit resistance and blocks.
Our Strategy is the best way for us to make something happen. Strategies are aligned with our energy type. So, every Projector will have the same strategy. For Projectors that is Being Invited. I’m sure you have given unsolicited advice before, or you have been on the receiving end of unsolicited advice from a Projector – it doesn’t lead to anything productive for either side. When Projectors push their insight onto people who are not receptive, they are left feeling unheard, unappreciated and undervalued. If you, as a Projector, ever feel this way, ask yourself if the person you are interacting with invited your support or insight. Very likely they did not.
How can Projectors tell if they are in alignment or not (Self vs Not Self)? By feelings of Success or Bitterness. Projectors can become obsessed with feeling successful. This isn’t a bad thing! This is the way the Universe lets them know where they need to focus their attention. When they are pushing and striving, or otherwise interjecting where they are not wanted, they will feel bitterness. Seeing all that is wrong with the world can also create a feeling of bitterness. Before you start thinking, “hey. I am a Projector and I am not bitter,” bitterness can show up as judging other people, irritation with others and focusing too much on what is wrong. It can even show up as low grade resentment toward other people, life or the whole world.
I shared last week that our Authority is the process we use for making the best decisions for us. There are some authorities that only certain energy types have and others that are assigned to everyone. Projectors, like all of the other energy types, may have a Solar Plexus Authority or Emotional Authority. This decision process is based on how you feel about something. I have an Emotional Authority. The best time to make a decision is when you feel neutral. You neither too excited or too depressed or angry. It is often best to run that decision through your entire emotional spectrum and give yourself time to decide. I often make the mistake of throwing offerings out into the world when I am very excited only to discover days later than I really hate the idea.
The next Authority a Projector may have is the Splenic Authority or Instinctive Intuition. This is the oldest authority type and is ruled by our intuition ( our spleen). Our intuition does not follow the logic of the mind (or society). It often just doesn’t “make sense”. The intuitive hits these Projectors (or Manifestors) receive are not even filtered through the mind. They just land in our laps in complete and full messages. People with this authority need to trust their instincts and that may require them to relearn how to trust their instincts. They can do this by playing games with their intuition such as letting their intuition lead for the day. Asking questions like “what lane should I get into?'“ while driving or “where should I get coffee?” and following through on the answers they receive. This “game” will build up evidence they need to begin to trust their instincts again. Don’t over think. Just act on the decision that pops into your awareness.
Next up is G Center Authority, aka No Inner Authority or Self Projected. This authority process requires a sounding board to make decisions. This could be talking out loud to themselves or bouncing ideas off of other people. The answer becomes clear when they express their inner world in the outside world. It isn’t about getting feedback from other people, but talking it out allows Projectors to see that whatever they are thinking about is not as complex as they may think. Again, it isn’t getting input from others, its hearing their own voices explaining their thoughts.
Another Authority type a Projector can have is Ego Authority. What you “want” is your intuition. This is when you look at something and say “I want that”. Those are the signposts you are meant to follow. It isn’t up to your emotions or your mind. It is your desires. When it isn’t something you want, you feel no energy around it at all and have no interest. It’s very simple, except culture has taught us that wanting things is bad and having desires, and especially following them, is shameful. You can move forward with that feeling of wanting something and know that it is in alignment for you.
The last Authority type a Projector can have is Mental Authority. Also known as your Inner Authority, Mental Authority Projectors are rare. We all have two different sides to our mind: the thinking mind and your sensing intuitive mind. Mastering your design as a Projector with Mental Authority comes from distinguishing between the two and then using each one for the right role. If you are this type of Projector, your purpose in life is to observe the outside world and develop your specific and unusual perspective on it. Any information coming from your thinking mind can be backed up by facts and logic. It does a great job of observing and understanding the outside world, but should not be in charge of you.
Your sensing mind is the part of you that just knows and it doesn’t quite know how it knows. Your job is to just do what makes sense even when you can’t explain why, and especially when you can’t explain why. When something feels right to you, regardless of how the outside world feels about it, that’s the path to follow.
That’s it for Projectors. Next week we will dive into Manifestors. These are interesting people. My sister is a Manifestor and knowing what I know about them has allowed me to understand why she is the way she is.
Projector here! I both agree and am curious about being a projector. I had a situation yesterday where I was ready to raise the red flag, call an all troops meeting and burn down the house. Which isn’t good :).
Thankfully I sat on it and this morning the situation looks slightly clearer. Hopefully as the day goes I’ll be able to think and strategize the situation.
Question: do you think people diagnosed with ADHD tend to be one or two Design types? Or do you believe there is no correlation?
