I used to have a friend who would rather die than share cool things she found. I don’t know if it was a competition thing or she just liked savoring things on her own. I love to share things I find.1 If they are helpful to me, they are helpful to someone else like me.
I really do love sharing and one thing people ask me most often are for oracle deck suggestions for beginners. I have provided this list to my oracle card workshop attendees and now you get to have it too. **None of these links are affiliate links. I dream of having an affiliate account with Amazon some day. And, of course, you can buy these decks at your favorite book seller. I link them to Amazon because it is an easy place to learn more about them. Buy wherever you want.
Collette Baron-Reid Decks
Wisdom of the Oracle I use this deck in the Monthly Energy Readings I do off and on through out the year. It is a great beginner deck because it shows you different interpretations for each card. There is a general reading, as well as relationship and prosperity. I use them for energy readings because they have an everyday sort vibe and language to them. This is the deck Collette uses to teach her oracle classes.
Enchanted Map Another take on the deck above. Same sort of format and idea but a different theme.
Alana Fairchild Decks
Divine Circus I love this deck so much. I use it anytime I am having a crisis and its usually the deck I pull from when I read for friends and I am serious about getting some answers. I love that it is a little dark and whimsical. Alana redesigned her decks a couple years ago and this one is different than the one I have. I will be asking for this new design for Christmas this year. I have some lovely stories of working with this deck that I will share some time.
Love Your Inner Goddess I use this one when I need a little extra love. It is a popular deck in my oracle draw posts on Facebook. Alana is known for having long winded card interpretations. (Hello Mother Mary deck) but the interpretations in this deck are short and too the point.
Sacred Rebels This may have been my first Alana Fairchild deck. I can’t remember now, but what I like about it is that it is geared toward doing things differently and that is my jam.
Kyle Gray
Any of his oracle decks are great for beginners, with the exception of Gateway of Light Activation. That one may be tough to interpret for true beginners.
These are just a few of the decks I think are best for beginners. I will do another post with links to my favorite decks right now. Let me know in the comments if you have any of these decks or if there are any others you would add to the list!

In the spirit of full disclosure, I had found some little goddess “dolls” or altar pieces on Etsy many years ago and I did not share the source for those because I was using them in giveaways in my women’s group. And, I was not sharing them also because I really felt used by certain people who, I felt, were just hanging around to pick up whatever I dropped. I had done the research and the work to find these things, and they provided nothing in exchange. I try not to be this way now, but I do feel guarded at times about the things and people I find. It comes with being human,
“Wisdom of the Oracle” was my first deck. I still use it on occasion. Gabby Bernstein’s “The Universe has your back” deck is my daily go-to.
