Oracle Deck Review - Love Your Inner Goddess Deck by Alana Fairchild
I am starting a new little off-and-on series of oracle deck reviews. People often ask me what deck they should buy or what I recommend. I love oracle and tarot decks and there are so many options available now and so many new publishers in the game that are working with some very creative and lesser known creators. I am excited to share my collection with you. I have already shared a spread you can use to get to know your deck. This is a new practice I have started that I enjoy. I have a separate journal I keep the interviews in that I can consult when I am looking for the right deck to guide me.
The first deck I am reviewing is the Love Your Inner Goddess Deck by Alana Fairchild. The tagline for this deck is “An Oracle to Express your Divine Feminine Spirit.” This is a favorite deck of mine. I use it when I need a boost of love. Special thanks to reader Nancy for sending me picture of the card she pulled from this deck and giving me the nudge I needed to get started on this review project.

First Impressions: I bought this deck about a month after it was released. My friend Sue owns Zen & Company in Kennebunk, Maine and is the one who introduced me to Alana Fairchild’s work. She describes Alana’s decks as the War and Peace version of oracle card interpretations - and that is what I like about her! However, this deck deviates from the long winded interpretations. And that is just right for this particular deck. I love how supportive and positive this deck is. I mentioned that I use it when I am feeling down or not good enough and I need a boost of love - like a pep talk from a best friend.
Who is this deck for? This is a great beginner friendly deck. I especially like to use it in conjunction with shadow work or trauma healing because it is a good dose of sunshine when you have spent too much time in the deep depths.
There are several sample spreads in the book as well as information for beginners on how to use the deck and some additional information for if you are doing readings for others. People often ask me how to use oracle cards and almost every deck comes with a guidebook that assumes you have never used cards before. This is a good place to start.
The card interpretations each have two parts: 1. the card meaning in a reading and the interpretation is you are looking for spiritual guidance. There isn’t any explanation that I recall seeing that explains when you should look to the different sections of the interpretation, so I use the spiritual guidance interpretation when I am pulling only one card or specifically asking for guidance. And I use the reading interpretation if I am using a multi-card spread. Of course, you should always use your best judgment and trust yourself. Pay attention to whatever section calls to you. I am sure this is why the book does not have any instruction on this. Trust yourself.
